The long-awaited inauguration of Venezia, Venetians' new $275-million hotel tower in was held in June. The 12-story addition includes 1,013 suites and will be Las Vegas' only concierge-level resort. Guests reach their haven by high-speed elevator access from a separate check-in counter to the right of the main hotel registration desk. Private garden terraces, pools and fountains surround the reception area, lit from above by a glass cupola. Venezia's suites will average 700 sq. ft. and feature unprecedented nine-and-a-half-foot ceilings. Suites have spacious, plush bedrooms; 130-sq.-ft. bathrooms finished in Italian marble; and sunken living rooms. Fourteen of the suites on the pool level have terraces overlooking the garden courtyard. Built with an elaborate trellis, these offer plenty of privacy. Additionally, all tower suites receive exclusive access to the pool garden and main pool deck. The top five floors on the west side of the building (Las Vegas Boulevard) will include 122 suites, a majority of them overlooking the Strip; the others overlook the tower's private pool deck. ROCKS: SPA BELLAGIO'S SIGNATURE TREATMENTS "Thermotherapy" is the new buzzword in spa treatments and Spa Bellagio is in the vanguard with its signature LaStone Massage. Therapists us heated basalt stone and cold marble stones to coax the body into a deep state of relaxation. The 70-minute session is available for $175. The same heat that is good for the body is also good for the lowly toes: the Hot Toe Voodoo treatment can be incorporated into any 50- or 80-minute session. For just $20 extra, small warm stones are placed between the toes to help cleanse toxins from the body and open energy channels.
