Take your honeymoon planning at your own pace, but be careful not to let the date creep up on you. If you set things up far enough in advance, you won't find yourself scrambling for reservations at the last minute when availability is limited and expensive. Ask our Honeymoon Specialists to assist you in arranging your perfect honeymoon!

6 to 8 Months Before Your Honeymoon

Decide on the type of honeymoon you want - a cruise, an all-inclusive resort, etc. Settle on a budget for the trip considering every possible expense, plane tickets, car rental, hotel, meals and bar bills, gifts you might buy, sightseeing trips, tips, taxes and any day-to-day expenses, such as poolside towel service.

Start to research possible destinations; ask family and friends for suggestions; visit our Honeymoon Specialists. Read travel magazines and guidebooks and surf the Internet, including our web site at traveltraveltravel.com.

Take inventory of any frequent flier mileage you and your fiancée may have accumulated.

4 to 5 Months Before Your Honeymoon

Book your airline tickets, hotel, rental car with our Honeymoon Specialist. Be sure to ask about any honeymoon discounts or special packages. (The Honeymoon Packages on our web site represent only a sampling of our special packages.) Be specific about your requirements, e.g. a quiet, oceanview, non-smoking room on a high floor. Keep all confirmations in an envelope.

Find out about health certificate requirements and vaccinations you might need. Ask your doctor about any precautionary medication you may want to bring along.

If you are planning a foreign trip, you may wish to enroll in a language course or purchase a foreign language phrase book to study and take with you.
